Introduction to the Essentials
Reading this guide is the first step in preparing to take the AAMC PREview® professional readiness exam. This document is the official policy and procedure guide for the AAMC PREview exam, and the information within is necessary for a smooth registration, testing, and score reporting experience. The current version of the AAMC PREview guide is required reading for all AAMC PREview examinees, including returning examinees.
The 2025 AAMC PREview® Essentials is subject to change. The version applicable to your test day is the version in effect when you register. At the time of registration and on test day, you will be asked to certify that you have read and agree to comply with the policies and procedures included here.
The AAMC provides the AAMC PREview exam with the assistance of its test delivery administrator, Meazure Learning. The following terms will be used throughout the guide.
