The accommodations webpages contain information you need to understand the application process and how to schedule your exam with accommodations. Each page of our site is geared towards a specific component of the accommodations request process. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the entire process before applying. We also recommend that you review the standard conditions for the administration of the MCAT® exam. This information will assist you in determining what, if any, adjustments may be necessary to allow you to test in an accessible manner.
The AAMC has centralized MCAT and PREview® accommodations application process into one system. The updated and integrated system will allow you to apply for accommodations for one or both exams. Learn more about the centralized accommodations application process here.
Our Review Process
Our policies are guided by the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as our mission to provide a valid exam while maintaining a level playing field for all test takers. Keep in mind that it is your current functional limitations (in relation to the demands of standardized test taking), not diagnosis alone, that determine the appropriateness of a requested accommodation.
