Review Cycles and Important Dates

Initial requests for accommodations will be reviewed within 60 days of submission. The review cycle for Reconsiderations, Appeals, and Extensions may take up to 30 days.

For incomplete applications that are re-submitted, the review cycle will restart as noted above. Please be mindful of the application requirements associated with your request so that you do not extend the review process, as this may prevent you from testing with accommodations on your preferred test date.

To receive a determination in time for your preferred exam date, we encourage you to submit your application by the recommended submission date associated with your intended exam date. The recommended submission dates allow time for review as well as additional time for an applicant to submit a Reconsideration or Appeal request if necessary.

Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and cannot be expedited. You may apply after the recommended submission date; however, you must be approved for accommodations and have a scheduling request submitted with Pearson VUE at least 15 days prior to your exam to allow time for us to prepare and implement any approved accommodations.

If you are approved for accommodations less than 15 days before your exam date, your accommodations will not be available for your exam. However, you do have the option to test under standard conditions and your approved accommodations will be made available for future exams. In accordance with standard scheduling policies and fees, you have until 10 days prior to an exam to reschedule. All scheduling is based on availability.

Please note that the 2026 testing year ends on September 12, 2026. Initial applications submitted after May 30, 2026, are not guaranteed accommodations that can be implemented in the 2026 testing year.
