Import Planning and Logistics
Is there an additional fee to import application information as a repeat applicant?
There is no additional fee to import a prior season's application materials in the MyERAS system.
Is there any processing time necessary for importing a letter?
There may potentially be a brief period wherein the status for the LoR will be listed as “Processing.” Once the letter has been processed, an “Imported” status will indicate that it is ready for assignment. If a letter is in “Processing” status for longer than 24 hours, please contact the AAMC Support Center (ASC) for assistance.
Can I import letters after I have applied to a program?
You can import LoRs even after you have applied to programs. However, a maximum of four LoRs can be assigned per program.
If an applicant skips an application season, will they still be able to import letters?
Yes, application data and letters are available from the most recent MyERAS residency and fellowship applications that have been certified and submitted, up to seven years prior to the start of the current season.
Can I import application data after I have certified and submitted my current application?
No, once your MyERAS application has been certified and submitted, no changes can be made to the application, and the option to import will not be available. Please check your application data carefully before you certify and submit.
