Import Planning and Logistics

There is no additional fee to import a prior seasons’ application materials in MyERAS.

There may potentially be a brief period wherein the status for the LoR will be listed as “Processing.” Once the letter has been processed, an “Imported” status will indicate that it is ready for assignment. If a letter is in “Processing” status for longer than 24 hours, please contact ERAS Client Technical Support available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. ET.

You can import LoRs even after you have applied to programs. However, a maximum of four LoRs can be assigned per program.

Yes, application data and letters are available from the most recent MyERAS residency and fellowship applications that have been certified and submitted beginning with the ERAS 2016 season and later.

No, once your MyERAS application has been certified and submitted, no changes can be made to the application, and the option to import will not be available. Please check your application data carefully before you certify and submit.
