Select the “Log In To Your AAMC PREview Portal” button on the PREview webpage. After you enter your AAMC credentials, you will be asked to ensure your name EXACTLY matches the name on the ID you will present on exam day.

Once you confirm that your name is correct, the AAMC system will then direct you to the registration and scheduling system, Meazure. Your AAMC ID, first and last name, and email address will be automatically sent to Meazure, where you will be unable to update this information.

Step 3

Once in the PREview portal, navigate to the Products tab where you will be able to select "AAMC Professional Readiness Exam (PREview)" and be taken to the scheduling webpage. You will then select "Online Proctoring" and choose your time zone, test date, and appointment time.

Be certain to select the time zone in which you will be taking the exam and note that your exam time is displayed in the 24-hour clock (military time). For example, if you will be taking the exam at 8:00 a.m., your exam time will be 08:00, and if you will be taking the exam at 8:00 p.m., your exam time will be 20:00.

Step 5

Once you have scheduled your test, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

No Show

If you do not attend your scheduled exam and you do not reschedule or cancel by the deadline, your registration fee is non-refundable. You may schedule a new date in a future window for the applicable fee if appointments are available.

Retesting within the Year

Examinees may take the exam no more than two times in the same testing year and no more than 4 times in their lifetime (starting in the 2024 testing year). You may wish to consider receiving your score for your first exam before deciding to register for an additional exam attempt, but it is not a requirement to wait until scores are released. The stated refund policy will apply.

Reschedule Procedures

You may reschedule your exam appointment, subject to the deadline associated with your scheduled exam date, by selecting the reschedule option available next to your scheduled appointment date in the PREview Portal.

  • The deadline to reschedule your exam is two weeks prior to your appointment and is based on your scheduled appointment time and time zone. For example, if your appointment is scheduled for May 7th at 8:00 am Eastern Time, you must reschedule your exam before 8:00 am Eastern Time on April 23.
  • If you reschedule prior to the registration deadline associated with your current appointment, you may reschedule into the same or later window if appointments are available.
  • If you have approved accommodations for your exam, you may need to confirm that your accommodations will be available for a rescheduled exam date. Please refer to your approval letter. If you are rescheduling a paper exam or any accommodation that requires in-person testing at a professional testing center, you must give the AAMC at least 30 days' notice of your new exam date and contact us at askpreview@aamc.org, or your accommodation will not be available on your new exam date.
