In our continuing efforts to support an increasingly diverse physician workforce, the AAMC is providing support to Canadian students who would be unable to take the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) without financial assistance.
The AAMC and the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) offer a fee assistance program for Canadian examinees who register for the MCAT exam during the 2022 and 2023 testing years. Canadian examinees who qualify in AFMC’s first application period will be able to register for an MCAT exam date through this fee assistance program and receive the MCAT® Official Prep Online-Only Bundle beginning on February 1, 2023. Examinees who qualify in AFMC’s second application period will be able to register for an MCAT exam through the program and receive the MCAT® Official Prep Online-Only Bundle beginning of April 3, 2023.
Canadian fee assistance applicants who qualify will receive reduced scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation rates for the 2023 and 2024 testing years. Canadian fee assistance applicants who qualify will have access to the MCAT® Official Prep Online-Only Bundle through December 31, 2024. Examinees who qualify in AFMC’s first or second application period have access to the MCAT® Accommodation Services Financial Benefit program through October 1, 2024.
