In our continuing efforts to support an increasingly diverse physician workforce, the AAMC is providing support to Canadian students who would be unable to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and the PREview professional readiness exam without financial assistance.
The AAMC and the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) have a fee assistance program for Canadian examinees who register for the MCAT and PREview exams. Canadian examinees who qualify during an AFMC application period will receive the Fee Assistance Program benefits of reduced MCAT scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation fees, and the MCAT® Official Prep Online-Only Bundle at no cost. Approved examinees will also receive discounted PREview registrations. The AAMC makes the MCAT® Accommodation Services Financial Benefit program application available to eligible Canadian Fee Assistance Program examinees.

How to Apply
Students interested in the Canadian fee assistance program can learn more about the eligibility criteria and application process and deadlines by visiting AFMC’s website. AFMC will review applications, determine eligibility for financial assistance, and notify awardees. Please note that benefits are not retroactive, and you must be approved prior to scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling your exam. Please note that the AAMC and AFMC reserve the right to discontinue the program.
