| Program Description: The Maryland Loan Repayment Programs (MLRP) offer higher education loan repayment assistance to health professionals including physicians, physician assistants, medical residents, nurses, and nursing support staff. |
| Eligible Specialties: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, Physician Assistants. |
| Service Requirements: Two-year obligation to practice in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). |
| Deadline/Application Cycle: The annual application cycle is open from March 1 through April 15. |
| Amount: Up to $50,000 per year for a 2-year obligation. |
| Additional Information: A recipient may reapply for an award after completion of the first two year service obligation. A recipient’s total award amount cannot exceed $100,000, or two 2-year obligations at $25,000 per year. |
