In MyERAS, the Programs tab is where you will search, save, and apply to programs. This is also where you assign documents, manage selections, and track the status of your documents by programs applied to.

Searching for Programs

You may search for programs of interest using Search by Accreditation ID (ACGME ID or AOA ID) or Search by Specialty. By default only 10 search results will display at time and you may filter/sort through your results using the given fields: Program Name, Specialty, City, State, Accreditation ID, Status (ERAS participation status), Training type(s) offered by program.

Once you have found programs you are interested in, you will need add them to your Saved Programs list.

Saving Programs

You will need to select at least one training type for each program you wish to add to your Saved Programs list. After building your list, you will be able to search and delete programs as well as assign your documents before moving on to applying.

Applying to Programs

Once you have narrowed down your list and assigned supporting documents, you may move on selecting the programs you wish to apply to and then previewing your invoice before submitting payment. Individual programs set their own deadlines for receiving application. It is your responsibility as an applicant to research programs thoroughly and in advance of applying to programs.

Also, keep in mind that the ERAS season ends on May 31 of each year, at which point you will no longer have access to your MyERAS account and will not be able to apply to additional programs for the season. Programs will no longer be able to receive new applications or any supporting documents when the season closes.

Programs Applied To

The Programs Applied To page is where you will come to review the applications you have submitted; track documents that have been assigned; assign new documents as needed; and generate your Assignment Report to ensure that the documents assigned to program(s) meet their application requirements.
