AMCAS® Participating Schools
Beginning in 2023, all American Medical College Application Service® (AMCAS®) participating medical schools are invited to use the AAMC PREview™ professional readiness exam in their admissions process.
When you initiate or submit your AMCAS application, your PREview scores for exams taken since 2020 will be automatically uploaded to your AMCAS application.
As participating MD-granting schools determine how they will consider PREview scores in their application review (require, recommend, or accept for research only), they will update their websites and Medical School Admission Requirements™ (MSAR®) profiles. Additionally, information about PREview participating MD-granting schools will be available in the AMCAS application. Please refer to these resources or contact the schools directly to learn more about their use of PREview scores. Note, not all MD-granting schools have adopted use of the PREview exam at this time.
DO-granting Medical Programs
Currently, the Des Moines University Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program recommends PREview for all applicants. You will have the option to select this program to receive your scores when you take the exam. Additional DO-granting medical programs are considering but have not yet adopted the PREview exam.
This page will be updated as more DO-granting medical programs and application services accept PREview scores.
