Educational scholarship refers to any material, product or resource originally developed to fulfill a specific educational purpose that has been successfully peer-reviewed and is subsequently made public through appropriate dissemination for use by others.

The AAMC provides two dissemination platforms for peer reviewed scholarly material:

Academic Medicine®

Academic Medicine® is the AAMC's official, peer-reviewed journal. The journal serves as an international forum for the exchange of ideas, information, and strategies to address the major challenges facing the academic medicine community as it strives to carry out its missions in the public interest.

The journal’s areas of focus include: education and training issues; health and science policy; institutional policy, management, and values; research practice; and clinical practice in academic settings.

MedEdPORTAL® is the AAMC's free, cross-indexed suite of services. Through Publications, i Collaborative, and the CE Directory, MedEdPORTAL aims to equip health care professionals across the continuum with effective and efficient educational tools to improve patient care.
