Program Description: The Pediatric Specialty Loan Repayment Program (LRP) offers loan repayment for eligible clinicians who provide pediatric medical subspecialty, pediatric surgical specialty, or child and adolescent behavioral health care including substance use disorder (SUD) prevention and treatment services. |
Eligible Specialties: Physicians (MD and DO), Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Providers (Psychologists, Licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), Licensed or certified master's level social workers (LSW or LCMSW), Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Marriage and family therapists (MFT), Licensed professional counselors (LPC), Substance use disorder (SUD) counselors. |
Service Requirements: All eligible individuals agree to participation in an accredited pediatric medical subspecialty, pediatric surgical specialty or child and adolescent mental health subspecialty residency or fellowship OR employment as a pediatric medical subspecialist, pediatric surgical specialist or child and adolescent behavioral health care professionals serving in or for a Pediatric Specialty Loan Repayment Program-approved site serving a Health Professional Shortage Area, Medically Underserved Area, or Medically Underserved Population. |
Deadline/Application Cycle: The 2024 Pediatric Specialty LRP application cycle is closed. |
Amount: Up to $100,000 for a three-year term. |
