Program Description: Students pursuing primary care health professions training in eligible disciplines can receive loan repayment funding through the National Health Service Corps Students to Service Loan Repayment Program. |
Eligible Specialties: Medical, Nursing and Dental students; Family medicine physicians who practice obstetrics on a regular basis, Obstetrics/Gynecology. |
Service Requirements: Participants must work at NHSC-approved sites in federally designated HPSAs of greatest need throughout the United States and its Territories. Upon completion of residency, 3 years of full-time or 6 years of half-time service. For Maternity Award: Commit to providing primary health care services in Maternity Care Target Areas with a shortage score of 16 or above. |

Amount: Receive up to $120,000 in loan repayment funds payable in four annual installments (up to $30,000 per year) as long as you meet program requirements; up to $40,000 in loan repayment funding to maternity care health professional participants. |
Additional Information: This year, we've added an additional $40,000 supplement for eligible maternity care health professionals who commit to providing OB/GYN services in a maternity care target area. |
