Program Description: The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Rural Community Loan Repayment Program is for providers working to combat the opioid epidemic in the nation’s rural communities.
Eligible Specialties: Allopathic/Osteopathic physicians, Physician assistants, Psychiatrists, Nurse practitioners, Certified nurse-midwives, Psychiatric nurse specialists, Health service psychologists, Licensed clinical social workers, Marriage and family therapists, Licensed professional counselors, SUD counselors, Pharmacists, Registered nurses, Certified registered nurse anesthetists.
Service Requirements: You must serve at least three years of service at a rural NHSC National Health Service Corps-approved substance use disorder treatment facility.
Deadline/Application Cycle: The NHSC Rural Community Loan Repayment Program application cycle is closed.
Amount: Full-time service: Up to $100,000 for a three-year term; Half-time service: Up to $50,000 for a three-year term.
