Program Description: The purpose of Minnesota’s Health Care Loan Forgiveness program is to recruit and retain health care professionals to needed areas and facilities within Minnesota. |
Eligible Specialties: Residents in Pediatric, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Psychiatric, or OB/GYN programs or Licensed Physicians. |
Service Requirements: Serve 3 years minimum/4 years maximum in federally designated urban Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) or Medically Underserved Area (MUA). |
Deadline/Application Cycle: Loan Forgiveness program cycle will open November 1, 2024. |
Amount: Annual repayment amount: $29,000 |
Additional Information: Urban mental health professionals and urban doctors must practice within a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) or in a Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA/P). |
