| Program Description: Primary care providers working in designated health professional shortage areas can apply to receive funding to repay qualifying educational loans. |
| Eligible Specialties: Doctor of Osteopathic or allopathic medicine, clinical pharmacists, dentists, licensed clinical or counseling psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatric nurse specialists, and registered dental hygienists. |
| Service Requirements: Agree to work for a term of 3 years at the approved site. Full time or part time. |
| Deadline/Application Cycle: Annually in March and September |
| Amount: Full time: $120,000 for physicians and dentists, $90,000 for all other approved disciplines; Part time: $60,000 for physicians and dentists, $45,000 for all other approved disciplines. |
