The American Medical College Application Service® (AMCAS®) is the AAMC's centralized medical school application processing service. Most U.S. medical schools use the AMCAS program as the primary application method for their first-year entering classes.

The 2027 AMCAS application is now open. If you wish to start medical school in Fall 2027, please complete and submit the 2027 AMCAS application.
As of July 31, the AMCAS program is:
Marking transcripts as "Received" that were delivered on or before:
- Paper (mailed) – July 31
- Email – July 29
- Parchment – July 31
- National Student Clearinghouse – July 31
- Certree – July 31
- Processing applications that reached "Ready for Review" on June 12.
- Processing Academic Change Requests submitted on July 30.
