The AAMC has made the difficult decision to sunset the on-site student career fair held in conjunction with Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC Annual Meeting.
The association is engaged in a strategic prioritization effort to ensure that our organization remains resilient into the future, and as part of that effort we must reconsider the number of projects staff can take on and the level of resources available to support those projects. The on-site career fair requires significant staff and financial resources.
Our commitment to the important and ongoing work of ensuring a physician workforce that includes individuals from all backgrounds and perspectives remains steadfast. We are fully dedicated to strengthening the physician workforce of the future—by supporting pathways to medical careers and by expanding students’ access to the medical school admissions community.
The AAMC continues to offer robust programs and services to support the premed community, including hosting our successful annual Virtual Medical School Fair and through our support of various pathway programs. We will continue to organize on-site career fairs in conjunction with some of our other meetings and events. And we will continue to maintain an active presence at career fairs and student events hosted by our member institutions and other health professions and higher education organizations.
