Completing the Application

Applicants who indicate within their ERAS application that they intend to apply to one or more programs from the participating specialties will be invited via email by the AAMC on September 1. Applicants who add programs after September 1 will be invited on a rolling basis.

The application will take less than an hour to complete. The application does not have to be completed in one sitting. Applicants may save their responses and return at anytime before the deadline.

The application will open on September 1 and close on September 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. 

After you answer questions about your past experiences, geographic information, and preference signals, you will be asked whether you want to submit the supplemental application. If you respond “yes,” your responses will be final and shared with all participating programs that you selected to receive your MyERAS® application. Supplemental ERAS applications submitted by September 19 will be available to programs on September 29. Supplemental ERAS applications submitted between September 20 - 30 will be available to programs on October 6.
