Examinees can have up to 5 active requests at a time. We have this limit in place in an effort to make the Available Appointment Notification Request tool more helpful and focused.

I clicked on the link in the email as soon as it hit my inbox, but I hit an error and didn’t get the appointment. Why wasn’t I able to schedule?

Once an appointment becomes available, multiple examinees may also be notified simultaneously and have the opportunity to schedule into that appointment. Scheduling into available appointments are on a first-come, first-served system, so the first person to submit payment for the appointment secures the seat.

Notification emails may be sent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While we do hope this does not happen frequently, it is possible. If by the time you follow the link, the appointment is no longer available, please log back into the MCAT Registration System and select “My Appointment Requests” to ensure that the notification requested is still active so that you can be notified again when the next appointment becomes available.

Where am I on the Available Appointment Notification Request List?

Unfortunately, the AAMC is not able to view your placement on the notification list. We encourage you to keep an eye on your email for notifications.

I don’t want to receive the Available Appointment Notification Request emails anymore. How do I make them stop?

Log into the MCAT Registration System, navigate to the “My Appointment” page, and click “My Appointment Requests” under “My Account” to display the “My Appointment Requests” page. You can delete any active requests from this page.
